Evening Trist
It was late afternoon when they finally stopped walking. They had decided to split up and now Tifa and Cloud were alone. It was easy to start a fire but Tifa couldn't stop looking around at the dense forest around them. Camp was set against a large boulder that blocked anything coming from the east and south. It was the safest position they could find and they could only hold the fends would stay away. They just had to keep the fire going.
She could feel her limbs weaken from their travels but she wanted to stay strong. Her hand gently rubbed her calf as her body absorbed the heat from the fire. Her chin rested on her knees and her long chocolate brown hair fell to the side. Tifa's eyes landed on Cloud who was walking back from the forest with wood under his arms.
"Fine enough?"
She had offered to go with him but he insisted that she stay here and watch the fire.
